Kopperl celebrates Red Ribbon Week Oct. 25-29

** Red Ribbon Week started after the death of Drug Enforcement Administration Special Agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena, who in 1985 was brutally murdered by drug traffickers he was investigating in Mexico. After his death, people started wearing red ribbons to honor Kiki's sacrifice.  For 36 years, schools all across the US celebrate Red Ribbon Week to remember to Say NO to Drugs and to honor the efforts of the Drug Enforcement Agents.

2021 Red Ribbon Theme is “DRUG FREE LOOKS LIKE ME”

 

Here are the dress up days.  Prizes will also be given out daily.

Monday: “Be Drug Free”: Wear Red

 

Tuesday: “Too Bright for Drugs”: Wear Neon Colors

 

Wednesday: “It Takes a Team to Be Drug Free”: Wear Your Favorite Team Jersey

 

Thursday: “Send Drugs Packing”: Dress Like A Tourist

 

Friday: Scare Drugs Away: Wear Halloween costume.  All costumes must be school appropriateNO scary masks.
