July 22 - Last day for Summer Workout

Parents and Students:

Here is the Summer Workout Schedule letter for students going into the 7th through 12th Grades

Parents/Guardians,

As this trying and challenging year comes to an end, I want to thank each and every one of you for allowing our coaching staff the opportunity to coach, teach, discipline and mentor each and every one of your athletes. A lot of hard work has gone into this year of uncertainty and abnormality. As it comes to a close, we look to the future to return to “normal.” With that being said, our first step to return to the norm is our summer strength and conditioning program.

This is the time during the summer where we are able to keep working with our athletes to make sure that

1.  They don’t lose what they have gained over the course of the year, but also

2. To allow them to prepare to come into the next year prepared to go into competition in the best condition possible.

We, as the athletic department, have come up with the following dates and times for the summer strength and conditioning program during the summer.

The summer conditioning program is open to incoming 7th-12th grade athletes.

The program will run from Monday, June 7th until Thursday, July 22nd with workout days being Monday through Thursday from 9am-11am.

We will also be having an open gym immediately following the workout session.

This open gym will be from 11am-12pm.

During the 9am-11am session, this will be organized and structured weight training, speed, agility and conditioning. These activities will take place in the weight room, gym and outdoors. The open gym will be conducted in the gymnasium. This will be the time where athletes will be able to go in and work on their respective sport i.e, bumping, setting, spiking, dribbling, passing, shooting and “pickup” games. Coaches will be in the gymnasium to supervise during the open gym.

As we encourage everyone to come, we want to make sure that they understand that this is voluntary and not mandatory. Please keep in mind that this is a summer conditioning program and that is what we plan on doing. We ask that you send your athlete prepared.

Have a great summer and we look forward to seeing each and every one of your athletes.

Respectfully

Kopperl Coaching Staff
