Kopperl Legacy Park

Current Stage of Legacy Park

Winning Design of School Flag Contest

Thanks to a Service Learning Grant from Region 12, a matching funds donation from community member, Sharron Driskill, and a land donation from John and Linda McPherson, "Kopperl Legacy Park" had its beginning. Leaving something memorable behind as they moved on with their lives, the 2003 Senior Class initiated a school/community improvement project.

The initial stages of this project included a covered pavilion with 2 large picnic tables and plenty of space for lawn chairs, playpens, and bar-b-que pits. The next addition to the park was a wonderful piece of playground equipment, generously donated by the Storaska family.

As an effort to continually improve the park, the school has received a additional ½ acre of land from the Corps of Engineers to expand the park grounds. (See "Additions" and the "Information" page for more details)
